GOD IN AMERICA
Tammy at Sunshine Cottage shared this video with us for Spiritual Sundays. I wish everybody in America would watch it. I'm putting it here hoping that at least a few will see it. I think it is so important especially as the birthday of our country is almost here.

KREATIV BLOGGER AWARD

Loren at The Magoos News has awarded me with this lovely award. If you have not visited Loren's blog, I recommend you do so. She has become a good blogging friend of mine.
This award is supposed to be passed on to 7 other bloggers, but since I have received and passed this award before, I am not going to do it this time. I'm always pleased to get blogger awards so thank you, Loren, for passing this one to me. I feel very honored.

SOMETHING TO SMILE ABOUT
I remember Tennessee Ernie Ford. I loved to listen to him sing back in the 50s. This old video is cute. Watch the little boy next to him. That's his son Brian.

A PESKY GNAT
Have you ever been bothered by a gnat that just seems to keep hanging around and driving you crazy? There's been one hanging around my computer for a couple of weeks now. It only shows up once or twice each time I sit down at the computer and then it disappears, but that's many times a day. I've tried to swat it but miss it every time. Of course if I do kill it I may be in trouble with the PETA people. This reminds me of the President killing that fly on camera. I thought that was so funny. I think it is one of the best things he's done. LOL

I tried to find a picture of a gnat online but every one I found looked more like a mosquito. Maybe the little buggers are just too small to photograph or maybe they just flit away before they can be caught on camera. I'll get that sucker yet. Maybe. Oh, there he goes again.

A CLOCHE PARTY
I found out about this Cloche Party when I visited Dixie at French Lique this morning. Of course I had to join in as soon as I found out about it.
At Easter time the chocolate bunny was under glass. After Easter I switched it to an angel on the hutch.
I have several angels around but this is the only one "under glass."
Be sure to visit Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for links to other participants.

CUTTING DOWN A TREE
OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY

In the first picture you can see the man up in the tree getting ready to start cutting. Then the picture with all the branches gone and the last shot I took through a high window in our bedroom. No, the wall was not black. I took the picture without flash and it looks that way.
Visit Susan at A Southern Daydreamer for links to more Outdoor Wednesday posts.

DELTA DAWN
You may not know it, but that's Delta Dawn second on the left. On the right is Lottie Jo (that's me). Who are these crazy ladies you ask? Performers at a Christian Youth Camp. The three between me and Delta Dawn were elders' wives and I was the preacher's wife. We were at the camp as teachers, counselors, etc., but of course we had to get in on the fun too. We sang the song "Delta Dawn". What fun we had and this was over 30 years ago. Isn't it fun to reminisce? Tuesday, June 9, 2009
A CUTE AWARD
Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage & Inspirations recently gave me this Encouragement award. Actually she passed it on to all of her blogging friends and she notified me that she wanted me to have it.

Now - I want to do the same thing Sandi did and pass it on to those who encourage me by visiting my blogs and leaving comments. You know who you are. There are a lot of you out there and I hope each one will receive this award from me.

BLUE MONDAY
Thanks again to Sally for hosting Blue Monday. Click HERE to go to her blog for more Blue Monday posts. Our next door neighbors have a new front door. I had thought about taking a picture of it for Blue Monday but had not yet done it. Then a couple of days ago I saw all these pink flamingos in the yard. I don't know what the occasion was, but I thought this would be a good time to take a picture, so I did.
Here's a closer look. They used to have a wood-stained door. I think the new one is nice - it's really colorful. I thought it was kind of funny that they couldn't put the flamingos all over the yard which is usually done. Most of their yard is rock and I'm sure it was too hard to accommodate the pink birds.
HAPPY BLUE MONDAY!
