BLUE MONDAY

Thanks again to Sally for hosting Blue Monday. Click HERE to go to her blog for more Blue Monday posts.

Our next door neighbors have a new front door. I had thought about taking a picture of it for Blue Monday but had not yet done it. Then a couple of days ago I saw all these pink flamingos in the yard. I don't know what the occasion was, but I thought this would be a good time to take a picture, so I did.

Here's a closer look. They used to have a wood-stained door. I think the new one is nice - it's really colorful. I thought it was kind of funny that they couldn't put the flamingos all over the yard which is usually done. Most of their yard is rock and I'm sure it was too hard to accommodate the pink birds.

HAPPY BLUE MONDAY!

  1. That is a very snazzy door, Charlotte!

Sorry I missed Spiritual Sunday, but we traveled to see Cecelia's dance recital. I hope to catch up with you in a few Sundays. Hope the rest of your day is blessed...

  2. I love the punch of color. When I visited Arizona many years ago I missed the grass.. some really do rake their yards each week.. but to make up for it.. no allergies. And there were the most wonderful smelling lemon trees in back yards with lemons the size of grapefruits. Heavenly pies we made from these.

This is my first blue monday. I went to college in Oklahoma.. Bethany Nazarene College as it was known back then. My dad was a minister until his retirement. Now my daughter is grown and I am living with my folks again to take care of them. It is nice to meet you.

  4. That blue really makes the door more noticeable, and with the Spanish style home it goes perfectly. Funny about the flamingos not going into the ground, but great that your neighbor xenscapes. (I think that's the word.)

  5. The door makes a bold statement, doesn't it? That shade of blue wouldn't work just anywhere, but it fits that house. Nice job.
