God's Love Endures Forever
God's love endureth forever ―
What a wonderful thing to know.
When the tides of life turn against you
and your spirit is downcast and low.
God's kindness is ever around you,
always ready to freely impart
Strength to your faltering spirit,
cheer to your lonely heart.
God's presence is ever beside you,
as near as the reach of your hand.
You have but to tell Him your troubles,
there is nothing He won't understand.
And knowing God's love is unfailing,
and His mercy unending and great,
You have but to trust in His promise ―
God comes not too soon or too late.
So wait with a heart that is patient
for the goodness of God to prevail.
For never do prayers go unanswered,
and His mercy and love never fail.
And the following quote by HSR
God never said die not, sorrow not, or suffer not, but He did say, 'Fear not!' And when you take the fear out of life, then all the terrible experiences ― all the trials and all the suffering ― become bearable.

Thank you for this encouragement. I couldn't imagine life without God's forgiveness!
ReplyDeleteIt is as if God led me to this page today. My daughter is going through a rough time right now and these words are just what she needs to hear. Thank you for this post dear lady.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for the loss of your friend Charlotte. This message was good for me to read today. I am feeling overwhelmed by this move. Going into an 860 square foot place is challenging and it is very old, requiring much work. But one moment at a time, right?
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,
Debbie
Such a blessing, thank you. I love Helen Steiner Rice's poetry.
ReplyDeleteHi Charlotte, You always find the nicest poetry to share on your blog! So sorry for the loss of your friend. No matter what age, no matter if it is expected or not, it hard. May God's peace be with you and Cliff.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful poem! My mother lives in a retirement village in Florida, and nearly every week she loses another friend. I am sending this to her to help her remember to fear not. She is a strong Christian, but at nearly 81, she is beginning to show the strain of losing people. Blessings to you for sharing this today!
ReplyDeleteCharlotte,
ReplyDeleteThis was especially comforting to me at the end of this rather difficult week for me. Thank you for sharing it.
"Fear not." Sometimes I think (for me, at least) those are the most difficult words in the Bible. However, they are indeed the most comforting, too.
GOD BLESS!
Hi Charlotte,
ReplyDeleteWonderful post! I've never read this before. I especially love the part;
"...So wait with a heart that is patient..."
I think this part stands out to me because "Wait" has been something I have felt the Lord put on my heart and mind so often over the last 8 months.
Thank you for posting,
God bless you & your day

ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the loss of your friend. :-( It's never easy to lose those we love, even though we know they're going to a better place.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet poem. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Beautiful tribute to your friend. I'm thankful that "God comes neither too soon or too late."
ReplyDeleteYour dear friend lived a long life, and I assume, though it might have been littered with trials, he has relied and trusted in God to the end - and that is a blessing beyond measure! (Which is a cause for celebration!)
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week!
great tribute to your friend. I always think people don't really die...they live on through us. Hope your week shines in every way.
ReplyDeleteIts so sad when a fiend dies, and yet, for a Christian its just about, going home. Yet we still miss them. The poem is so beautiful and very appropriate.
ReplyDeleteAh, Charlotte, I'm so sorry for your loss, yet such sweet joy to know he is safe with the Lord. Thank you for this lovely poem and have a blessed week.
